We are partnering with a leading venture capital firm that has a dedicated investment mandate focusing on the intersection of aerospace, defense, and advanced digital technologies. As the sector evolves, there is a massive demand for immersive 3D design and animation tools that streamline prototyping, simulation, and stakeholder presentations. We are seeking a driven Investment Analyst to join their team on a temporary basis to support the execution of a high-profile deal pipeline in this niche vertical.
Operating on a dual desk, you will bridge the gap between traditional financial due diligence and deep-tech evaluation. You will be assessing early-stage and scale-up companies developing cutting-edge 3D rendering, spatial computing, and animation software specifically tailored for defense contractors and aerospace engineering firms. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on transactional experience in a highly specialized, fast-growing market.
Based in our Blagoevgrad office with a hybrid working arrangement, this temporary role is ideal for someone with one to three years of experience who is looking to pivot into deep-tech venture capital. You will work closely with senior partners, contributing directly to investment memos, market mapping, and commercial assessments of prospective portfolio companies.
What You'll Do
Core responsibilities and daily activities in this role
Conduct comprehensive market research and mapping of 3D design and animation startups operating within the aerospace and defense supply chain.
Perform financial modelling, valuation analysis, and commercial due diligence on early-stage and growth-stage investment opportunities.
Evaluate the technical viability and product-market fit of spatial computing and 3D rendering technologies for military and aviation applications.
Draft detailed investment memorandums and presentation materials for the investment committee.
Manage the dual desk workflow by coordinating with both the financial analysts and the deep-tech subject matter experts.
Support the execution of transaction processes, including term sheet negotiations, coordination with legal counsel, and post-investment monitoring.
Attend industry conferences, demo days, and pitch meetings to build a network within the defense tech and 3D animation ecosystems.
Track portfolio company performance, analyzing key commercial metrics and providing quarterly update reports to the broader fund.
