About the Job
We are looking for an ambitious and driven 360 Recruitment Consultant to join our growing specialist engineering and manufacturing desk in Central Birmingham. In this full-cycle role, you will take ownership of the entire recruitment process, from mapping out niche talent pools and business development to negotiating offer stages and placing candidates into permanent and contract roles. You will be joining a close-knit team of recruiters who genuinely collaborate, share market intelligence, and celebrate each other's wins.
This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated consultant with at least one year of agency experience who is ready to step up, build their own desk, and maximise their earning potential. We have an excellent existing client base for you to inherit, alongside warm leads, meaning you can hit the ground running and start billing from day one. What You'll Do
Core responsibilities and daily activities in this role
Manage the full 360 recruitment lifecycle from taking a detailed brief through to candidate placement and aftercare
Source and headhunt passive candidates using various channels including LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and direct networking
Generate new business opportunities by identifying and cold-calling prospective clients within the engineering and manufacturing sectors
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with both clients and candidates to ensure repeat business and referrals
Conduct thorough candidate screenings, competency-based interviews, and reference checks to ensure the highest quality of talent delivery
Negotiate salary expectations, contract terms, and agency fees to secure profitable placements for the business
Keep the company CRM system fully up to date with accurate activity records, pipeline tracking, and client interactions
Stay up to date with industry trends, salary benchmarks, and competitor activity to position yourself as a market expert
